Prime Minister Imran Khan removed Managing Directors of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
SSGC and SNGPL MD’s are now removed by PM Imran Khan. However, he took the decision after reviewing the report on gas crisis by the fact finding committee.
Last month, SSGC stopped gas supply to CNG stations and captive power plants. The gas company revealed that they were not getting the required amount of gas and pressure due to the technical fault at some of their gas fields.
The gas crisis in Karachi resulted in the public transport strike that is observed for a whole week. However, the daily routine of disturbed due to that prevailing matter. There were just few buses present on roads that were fully loaded with passengers. On the other side, the gas supply was also disrupted in different industrial and residential areas in the city.
During the gas crisis, PM Imran Khan dissolved the board of directors of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). In addition, he also ordered the strict action against the gas suppliers.
