On Sunday, June 23, residents of Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and Korangi areas will experience a gas supply suspension due to the installation of a new pipeline. This update was shared by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on their official website.
The SSGC has announced that a new gas distribution pipeline will be installed from Azeempura to Jam Sadiq Bridge, requiring work at two significant points. To accommodate this project, gas supply will be halted from 8 AM to 8 PM on June 23 in various sectors of Korangi. This includes both industrial and domestic zones, as well as all areas of DHA and its surroundings.
Gas Load Shedding Areas:
Residents and businesses in several neighborhoods will be affected by this gas supply interruption. These areas include Defence View, Manzoor Colony, Akhtar Colony, Kashmir Colony, Mehmoodabad, Azam Basti, and Qayyumabad. Additionally, multiple phases of DHA will be impacted: Phase 2 Extension, Phase 4, Phase 5 and its Extension, Phase 7 and its Extension, and Phase 8, covering Creek Vista and Emaar.
This planned interruption is crucial for the installation of the new pipeline, which is expected to enhance the gas distribution network in the region. SSGC has advised residents to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements to minimize inconvenience during this period.
