Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) formally announced Imran Khan for the Prime Minister designation today.
PTI nominated its chief Imran Khan for the post of PM today. However, according to sources, Shah Mehmood Qureshi might become the National Assembly Speaker.
PTI’s parliamentary committee took the decision in a meeting at Islamabad. Shah Mehmood Qureshi presented the resolution for Imran’s nomination for PM that was accepted unanimously.
Earlier, Imran decided that he will keep the cabinet short with 15 to 20 ministers. However, PTI emerged as a leading party in Pakistan Election 2018.
Formation of Government
PTI’s spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry revealed that party’s members reached to 174 and 186 in the National and Punjab Assembly respectively. He said that 4 seats of Balochistan National Party aren’t included in the list as negotiations are still in progress. He further added that the party will easily make the government in Center, KPK, and Punjab.
Maleeha Lodhi met Imran khan
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi met Imran at Banigala yesterday. She congratulated him on victory in General Election 2018. Earlier, the British Envoy, Japanese ambassador, and other foreign personalities also met him.
