In a significant move aimed at providing relief to motorcyclists, the Traffic Police has announced the issuance of driving licenses in 24 hours. The initiative, led by Additional IG Traffic, simplifies the process through a one-window operation, allowing citizens to access all services under one roof.
This streamlined system has already seen impressive results, with over 442,244 citizens obtaining their driving licenses this month. Of these, 261,645 individuals received learner’s licenses, while 148,873 people were issued regular driving licenses. Additionally, 26,591 citizens renewed their licenses.
The one-day service also caters to those needing to reissue lost licenses, with 1,295 individuals benefitting from this service. Moreover, 3,850 citizens have taken advantage of the opportunity to obtain international driving licenses.
The Additional IG Traffic emphasized the department’s commitment to providing fast and efficient services, ensuring that the public can easily access essential documentation without unnecessary delays. This initiative is expected to provide further relief to motorcyclists across the city, encouraging more citizens to follow traffic regulations and obtain their licenses.
