With the general elections looming, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has swiftly moved to facilitate citizens by expediting the issuance of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs).
In a recent announcement, NADRA unveiled a streamlined process allowing applicants to obtain their CNICs promptly. By opting for normal, urgent, or executive fees, individuals can collect their ID cards from NADRA offices during regular office hours on February 6 and 7.
Moreover, to accommodate the surge in demand, NADRA has extended the working hours of all its delivery centers nationwide by three hours.
As the country gears up for the impending elections slated for February 8, today marks the culmination of the election campaign for Election 2024. Notably, gatherings and campaign activities are permitted until midnight.
In a commendable feat, the Election Commission of Pakistan has successfully distributed 260 million ballot papers to Returning Officers (ROs) and District Returning Officers (DROs), along with representatives from government press institutions, ensuring timely preparation despite various challenges.
