Global Summit on Girls Education: Challenges, Solutions, and Opportunities

The Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training will host an International Conference titled “Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities” from January 11–12, 2025. This landmark two-day event aims to foster global dialogue on the challenges and opportunities in enhancing girls’ education across Muslim communities worldwide.

The conference will provide an invaluable platform for high-level discussions, bringing together over 150 international dignitaries, including ministers, ambassadors, scholars, academics, and representatives from renowned international organizations such as UNESCO, UNICEF, and the World Bank. Delegations from 44 Muslim-majority and friendly nations expected to attend this historic event, reflecting its global significance.

With a focus on transformative success stories, the conference will showcase speakers and panelists discussing innovative strategies to promote education equity. The sessions will emphasize developing practical solutions to overcome obstacles in girls’ education and encourage collaboration toward collective action to address these issues.

A key highlight of the conference will be the signing of the Islamabad Declaration, a commitment by all participating Muslim communities to empower girls through education. This declaration will pave the way for inclusive, sustainable educational reforms, ensuring a brighter and more balanced future for generations to come.
