Good News for Electricity Users of 100 to 300 Units!

The Sindh government is set to begin providing 100 free electricity units to residents soon, according to Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. This initiative is part of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) election manifesto, which promised to offer 300 free units of electricity.

The minister highlighted that the government is starting with 100 free units and will gradually increase it to 300 units to ease the burden of high electricity bills on citizens. Additionally, the Sindh government has launched a solarization program aimed at distributing solar panels to 200,000 households. The first phase of this program will see the distribution of 50,000 solar panels by August.

Moreover, the government is constructing solar parks to generate electricity, which will be supplied to the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC). The distribution of free solar panels will also begin in each division and district by the end of August, as directed by the energy minister. This effort is part of the Sindh government’s broader aim to provide affordable electricity and bring relief to the people.
