The council explained that the Shawwal crescent will be visible in most parts of the country on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The moon is expected to be over 26 hours old by that evening, making it easily visible to the human eye. Since the crescent needs to be at least 18 hours old at sunset for sighting, there is a strong chance that Eid ul Fitr 2025 will be celebrated on March 31.
