The government of Islamabad has announced a significant increase in payments under the Ehsaas Income Support Program, raising the amount received by beneficiaries to 10,500 rupees. This move aims to enhance support for participants in the Ehsaas Kafalat Program, benefiting millions of eligible families across Punjab.
The Director-General of the Ehsaas Income Support Program highlighted that over 30 billion rupees have been disbursed to more than 2.9 million deserving families in Punjab within the past three months alone. This substantial financial assistance is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to empower vulnerable communities and alleviate financial hardships.
In addition to the Kafalat Program, the government has introduced Ehsaas educational scholarships for children from registered families. The scholarship amounts have also been increased significantly, with primary level students receiving 2,000 rupees for boys and 2,250 rupees for girls. Secondary school students now get 3,000 rupees for boys and 3,500 rupees for girls, while higher secondary level students receive 4,000 rupees for boys and 4,500 rupees for girls.
This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to promoting education and socioeconomic development, ensuring that families have access to essential financial support and educational opportunities.
