In a significant move to combat hunger and improve education outcomes, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has announced a new initiative to provide free breakfast and milk to school children across the province. This program aims to ensure that no child starts their school day hungry, promoting better learning and overall well-being.
Governor Tessori, along with Federal Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, visited the Saylani Welfare Trust and met with its Chairman, Bashir Farooqi, to discuss the logistics and implementation of this ambitious program. Expressing his gratitude to Dr. Siddiqui and the welfare organization, Tessori emphasized the importance of food security as a foundational step towards educational improvement.
“We have taken the first step in ensuring food security for our children, and we will continue to expand this initiative,” said Governor Tessori. “No child will go to school hungry anymore. We committed to spreading this program across Sindh.”
How to Register School For Free Breakfast Program
A dedicated website will be launch for this initiative, allowing schools to register and participate in the program. This digital platform will facilitate smooth coordination and efficient distribution of meals.
Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted the rapid progress of this initiative, stating, “What we decided yesterday is turning into a significant task today. This reflects our dedication and the collective effort of all stakeholders involved.”
