In a letter to the National Cybercrime Agency, the ministry requested strict action against those spreading misinformation about the vaccination drive.
Authorities say that the Health Ministry officially requested the Cyber Crime Wing to censor social media profiles that used to disseminate fake information on the HPV vaccine in Pakistan. The ministry also advised that FIRs should be registered on people who conduct campaigns that misguide the population and confuse them on the vaccination program.

The ministry reiterated that the cervical cancer vaccination drive is safe, approved by global health bodies, and critical for preventing future cases of cervical cancer in Pakistan.
