In a recent announcement by the Commissioner Office Karachi, the price list for essential food items, including milk, meat, fruits, and vegetables, has been unveiled. These new price regulations are set to have a significant impact on the local market and consumers.
According to the latest pricing updates, the wholesale cost of milk has been established at Rs 188 per litre, with a corresponding retail price of Rs 200 per litre. This move aims to stabilize the cost of this essential dairy product, providing relief to consumers while ensuring fair compensation for producers.
For meat enthusiasts, the pricing adjustments are equally noteworthy. Goat meat is now priced at Rs 1540 per kilogram, and beef is available at Rs 635 per kilogram. Additionally, Veal meat has been fixed at a rate of Rs 800 per kilogram. Commissioner Saleem Rajput emphasized that these prices have been carefully determined by the government to ensure affordability and fairness across the board.
One key aspect of this announcement is the commitment to enforcing these new pricing regulations rigorously. Commissioner Saleem Rajput underscored that strict measures will be taken against any individuals or businesses found charging prices higher than those officially mandated. This is a crucial step in guaranteeing that consumers are not overcharged and that they can access these essential food items at reasonable rates.
