The cost for those participating in the government-sponsored Hajj scheme is set between Rs 10.65 and Rs 10.75 lakhs.
The policy ensures a balanced Hajj quota between public and private sectors, with each getting an equal half. To fairly distribute the government’s portion, a computerized lucky draw will be held, just like in previous years.

Under this Sharif-led government’s plan, 5,000 slots are reserved for a government sponsorship program, while private tour operators will have 25,000 slots to manage. Notably, the policy restricts children under 12 from participating in Hajj. Moreover, 1,000 spots are allocated for individuals facing exceptional conditions, and 300 are specifically reserved for low-income laborers.
In a move to simplify Hajj arrangements, a special management app has been introduced. Additionally, the “Road to Makkah” service will be available in Islamabad and Karachi, easing travel processes for many.
The Religious Affairs Ministry will soon release the complete Hajj schedule and application details. In the same cabinet meeting, discussions also covered vital national matters, including price stability in urea fertilizer and potential international agreements.
