The Ministry of Religious Affairs declares a new Hajj Policy 2025 permitting close relatives to conduct Hajj in place of registered pilgrims who will pass away or fall seriously ill before traveling.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has adopted a new Hajj Policy 2025 of registered pilgrims who face inevitable situations. The policy gives the opportunity of close relatives to do Hajj 2025 in the case of death or inability of the pilgrim to travel because of illness.
Under the new Hajj rules, if a registered pilgrim passes away before departure, any close relative will be permitted to perform Hajj in place of the deceased pilgrim. This ensures the family’s slot is used and their spiritual wish is fulfilled.
Pilgrims under Government Hajj Scheme 2025 and are unable to travel because of sickness or other unavoidable circumstances can do two things:
- Withdraw the deposited Hajj amount.
- Nominate a close relative to perform Hajj 2025 in their place.
The officials said that reasonable causes have to be mentioned to get a refund or replacement.
Mandatory Documentation for Hajj 2025 Applications
The Ministry has made documentation mandatory to prevent misuse of this facility. Applicants must provide:
- Medical certificate/ death certificate of the registered pilgrim.
- Stamp paper affidavit of the reason why Hajj is not being performed.
- Bank receipt confirming payment.
- Identity card of the applicant or nominee.
All documents will be verified by the Ministry of Religious Affairs before approval.
