Hamza Shehbaz taken into NAB custody, Interim bail cancelled


Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz interim bail was rejected by the Lahore High Court in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case and assets beyond means sources of income cases on Tuesday.

The two-member bench comprising Justice Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Shahid Waheed Khan heard petitions of Hamza Shehbaz as he appears before the LHC following the expiration of his interim bail expired today.

Hamza, along with his father Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif was indicted in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case on April 9.

The National Accountability Bureau in February had also filed a reference against the two alleged that the former chief minister of Punjab misused his authority by using public funds for the construction of a bridge to facilitate the Ramzan mills, owned by his sons.
