Lahore: Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali has angered the Indian Media by his victory dance at the Wagah Border’s flag lowering ceremony last week. The Indian media has taken this action of the cricketer as a provocation and disrespect of the ceremony.
The Pakistan cricket team was on a visit of the Wagah Border to witness the flag lowering ceremony before leaving for England. The Pakistan Cricket Board also tweeted a picture of the team visiting the Wagah Border.
Hasan Ali showed off his signature victory pose, of when he takes a wicket, facing the Indian side of the border, as the crowds were cheering from the Pakistani side. A video of the act has gone viral on social media and is trending.
While talking to the Indian media, the BSF Inspector General has said that he has taken strong note of a civilian from Pakistan who had interfered in the ceremony on the Pakistani side. As per protocol, the ceremony is to be conducted only by the BSF on the Indian side and Rangers on the Pakistani side.
