The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has sounded the alarm for a significant weather shift in the region this month. The forecast includes a heatwave, rains, and storms, marking a period of intense weather activity.

The PDMA’s alert indicates that most districts in Punjab could experience dusty winds and thunderstorms until May 18th. The weather shift is expected to bring heavy rainfall to several areas, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, and Okara.

Furthermore, the PDMA has also highlighted the likelihood of rainfall in Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, and Mianwali.

As the month progresses, the weather is set to take another turn. From May 21st to May 27th, Punjab is bracing for a possible heatwave.

Residents are advised to stay updated on the weather conditions and take necessary precautions during this period of weather fluctuations.
