Rain has brought a pleasant change in the weather across various cities in Punjab, including Lahore, Gujranwala, and Hafizabad. In Lahore, areas like Davis Road, Mughalpura, Gowalmandi, and Lakshmi Chowk enjoyed the rainfall. Other areas such as Achhra, Muslim Town, Faisal Town, Township, and Harbanspura also received significant showers.
However, the rain led to power outages in several areas. Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider has instructed all relevant institutions to stay on alert to manage the situation effectively. The downpour extended to Bhimber, Azad Kashmir, where thunder and lightning accompanied the rain.
Additionally, the Kirthar mountain range experienced rainfall, causing water to flow into the Hub River. The floodwaters in the Hub River have partially damaged an alternate route, and repair work is currently underway.
This change in weather has brought relief from the summer heat, but it has also highlighted the need for efficient infrastructure to handle such situations. The authorities are working diligently to restore normalcy and ensure the safety of residents in the affected areas.
