Hope US, Pakistan will leave past behind, Mike Pompeo

Washington: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that both countries should leave the past behind.

Mike Pompeo revealed that he hopes for the betterment of relations between Pakistan and the United States. During the first high level visit from the United States, Mike Pompeo will visit Pakistan today. However, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford will also come with him.

Gen Dunford and the US State Secretary are relied upon to arrive at the Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) around 3pm.

Pompeo will meet Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. In addition, he is expected to call on Army Chief General Qamar Jawed Bajwa and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Mike Pompeo said that the inevitable aftereffect of cooperating could mean the guide to Pakistan could restore. He further added that on the off chance that that emerges once more, he is certain they’ll present to the US president the method of reasoning for that, and after that something to that effect may bode well.

The visit is exceptionally planned, particularly in light of the staggeringly cold US-Pakistan relations, and the Trump organization’s on-and-off calls to “no more” and “do more”.
