Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway Ignored Again, PPP Still Endorses Budget

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) supported the federal budget 2025-26 in the National Assembly despite the federal government’s minimal allocation for the Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway project. Only Rs 15 billion allocated in the new budget, and the project was again left incomplete.

According to the Sindh Chief Minister, the provincial government reserves the right to protest where injustice is done by the federal government. He stated this during the Sindh government’s post-budget press conference, highlighting that the Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway has once again been neglected in the federal allocations.

The Chief Minister also said he had discussed the matter with the Prime Minister, who assured that work on the Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway would begin soon. However, the province has again been excluded from key infrastructure planning.

Despite repeated neglect, the PPP not only refrained from public protest but also praised several federal projects and supported the federal budget in parliament.
