Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear Safdar Awan’s plea against Avenfield case conviction on Wednesday (today).
IHC will hear today plea against Avenfield case conviction from Captain (retd) Safdar Awan who is son-in-law of Nawaz Sharif.
Yesterday, court accepted the Nawaz Sharif’s application to transfer Flagship Investment and Al Aziziz reference from Judge Muhammad Bashir to another court. However, Sharif family also submitted plea against Avenfield case conviction.
During Yesterday’s hearing, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi revealed that Nawaz Sharif would be freed if Hussain Nawaz will accept the London flats corruption.
The Avenfield Reference verdict came against Nawaz Sharif and his family. The Accountability Court sentenced the imprisonment of 10, 7, and 1 year to Nawaz, Maryam, and Captain Safdar (retd) respectively. The court also fined Nawaz Sharif and Maryam 8 million and 2 million Pounds respectively. All three leaders later moved to Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
