Imran Khan Couldn’t Appease Workers Protesting Unfair Ticket Distribution

ISLAMABAD: PTI Chief Imran Khan could not calm down the workers protesting unfair distribution of party ticket.

The party workers were protesting outside the Bangi Gala Residence of Imran Khan over the issue. Imran Khan came out personally to address the grievances the party workers.

PTI Chief while trying to appease workers said decision of awarding party tickets was made by parliamentary members. He added that the decision of parliamentary members was made on merit basis.

PTI Chief also told the workers that he will not change his decision under the pressure. He told the workers that if he changes his decision now from pressure more people will try to do same.

He added that he is not doing this because of himself or his honesty but because he fears Allah. Imran Khan also urged the protesters to submit review petitions and he himself will review them. He added that he along with the party’s board members will make the decision within three days.

He assured the protesters that the decision will be made on the basis of merit.

After being assured the protesters dispersed, however; another big group of protesters arrived soon after. The group of 1500 to 2000 protesters had camped outside the main gate of the PTI Chief’s hilltop residence.

Imran Khan came out to address the new protesters and told them he has been working for 12 hours nonstop for their grievances.

He admit that he is human and could have made a mistake and urged the protesters the same as he told the previous ones to submit a petition.

But the protesters tried to force their way inside the residence which caused a commotion between police and workers. Amid the commotion a few protesters from Gujrat were able to get in the office of the residence. Private guards managed to subdue the protesters and take them outside the office.
