Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed said that Imran Khan will take the oath for Prime Minister on Saturday, 18th August.
PTI Senator Faisal Javed revealed today that Imran Khan will take oath for PM on August 18. However, PTI came as the leading party in Pakistan Election 2018 as it got 116 National Assembly (NA) seats.
Earlier, President Mamnoon Hussain postponed his foreign tour for the oath taking ceremony for Prime Minister. According to sources, Caretaker Law and Information Minister Ali Zafar convinced Mamnoon Hussain to postpone the foreign trip so the next Prime Minister can take the oath. However, he was scheduled to visit Scotland from 16th August to 19th August.
Mamnoon Hussain approved to hold National Assembly session on August 13. In the first National Assembly session, newly elected Members of National Assembly (MNAs) will take oath of their office. In the next step, elections will be held for Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Prime Minister. The whole process will take about 3 to 4 days. However, the process of nomination papers, their scrutiny, and the election for three crucial posts will take time.
