Indo-Pak War: India released water in rivers Sutlej, Ravi and Chenab


The water war is imposed on Pakistan as India released water in three different rivers.

India released water in River Chenab, River Sutlej, and River Ravi on Sunday (yesterday). However, a high flood in Nullah Dek near Chahoor in Pasrur tehsil is reported. In Shakargarh, hundreds of acres of crops were also destroyed.

Flood Forecasting Division Lahore (FFD) also issued flood alert in River Jhelum at Mangla, River Chenab at Marala and downstream, Rivers Sutlej and Ravi along with the associated nullahs of Rivers Ravi and Chenab. However, the flood level in Rivers Sutlej and Ravi rises as India released water.

However, India released water from the reservoirs after Indian authorities revoked from their decision to accept the proposal of Pakistan. The proposal is about the meeting between the foreign ministers on the sidelines of UNGA in the United States.

Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat also threatened Pakistan with action by Indian forces. In reply, Major General Asif Ghafoor, DG ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) gave a strong reply. He said that the Indian Army indulged in its country’s politics due to the corruption scandals. He also warned Indian military and civilian’s top leadership against putting burden of their local issues on Pakistan.
