Interior Minister Eliminates NADRA Death Certificate Fee

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made headlines on Thursday with a significant announcement: the abolishment of the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) death certificate fee. This move aims to enhance public convenience and accessibility to essential services.

During his visit to the NADRA headquarters, Minister Naqvi not only announced the fee waiver but also emphasized the establishment of NADRA offices nationwide, drawing inspiration from the successful model police stations in Punjab.

Recognizing the crucial role of data security, the minister instructed authorities to prioritize citizens’ data protection. He commended the outstanding leadership of Chairman NADRA, Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, for the agency’s exemplary performance.

As part of a broader environmental initiative, Minister Naqvi participated in a plantation campaign by planting saplings at the NADRA headquarters’ lawn.

In a comprehensive briefing, Chairman Muhammad Munir Afsar outlined NADRA’s roadmap for 2024-25. This roadmap includes modern security architecture, cyber security audits, enhanced employee cyber security awareness, and a strategic plan to upgrade technology and infrastructure across NADRA’s online registration platforms.

These advancements not only benefit local citizens but also aim to improve services for Pakistanis residing abroad, ensuring efficient access to NADRA facilities. Minister Naqvi’s initiatives reflect a commitment to enhancing public services and embracing sustainable practices.
