The two day international symposium on water crisis, Water Secure Pakistan will begin from Friday (today) in the federal capital, Islamabad.
Creating a Water Secure Pakistan, the international symposium on water crisis, will begin in Islamabad today. President Dr Arif Alvi will inaugurate the event that will be held at the premises of Supreme Court of Pakistan. However, the concluding session will be chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar.
CJP Saqib Nisar ordered the Law and Justice Commission to organize the symposium. The issues related to the water shortage in Pakistan and remedial measures will be discussed.
Experts and jurists in the water resource management and researchers from other countries will present their research papers.
Themes related to the Indus Basin’s legal aspects, management of water resources, financing and construction of dams will be discussed.
