Iran Bus Accident: Pakistani Pilgrims’ Bodies Repatriated Today

In a tragic incident, the bodies of 28 Pakistani nationals who perished in a bus accident in Iran have been repatriated to Pakistan. The Pakistan Air Force’s C-130 aircraft carried out this solemn task, arriving at Shahbaz Air Base in Jacobabad last night. The flight also brought back the injured survivors, following the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The operation was marked by the presence of grief-stricken families, who received their loved ones’ bodies after a funeral prayer held at Shahbaz Air Base. Earlier, a similar prayer was held at Yazd Airport in Iran, where the accident took place.

The bus accident occurred on Tuesday, claiming the lives of 28 Pakistanis and leaving 23 others injured. Among the injured, 14 are reported to be in critical condition. In response to the severity of the situation, special arrangements were made to transport the injured, including ambulances and air ambulances for those in critical condition.

This tragic event has cast a shadow of sorrow over the nation as it mourns the loss of its citizens in this heartbreaking accident.
