Iranian CGS met with COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa during Pakistan’s Visit

Rawalpindi: Major General Dr Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff (CGS) of the Iranian Armed Forces, met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa today.

COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa and CGS Iran Mohammad Bagheri met today. However, they discussed several matters of mutual interest. According to sources, the regional security, Iran-Pakistan border management, and defense cooperation were discussed in the crucial meeting.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa also emphasized on the need to grow military cooperation between both countries. COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa further added that improved Iran-Pakistan relations will leave positive impact on security and peace of region.


Iranian CGS also condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan. A Suicide blast hit Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Nawabzada Siraj Raisani convoy in Mastung. He and 148 others lost their lives in an unfortunate incident. In addition, around 186 people were injured. However, Siraj Raisani was contesting Pakistan Election 2018 from PB-35 on the ticket of BAP.
