Is Red Bus Operating in Karachi on 9th & 10th Muharram?

The Peoples Bus Service is temporarily suspending its operations on select routes in Karachi for two days, July 9th and 10th, in observance of Muharram. However, the route from Malir Halt to Super Highway will continue to operate.

Meanwhile, Karachi’s traffic police have announced a comprehensive traffic management plan to ensure smooth passage of processions on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram. On the 8th, a procession will begin at Nishtar Park and conclude at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar, with certain roads closed for security reasons.

Another procession is scheduled to take place on the 9th, starting from Martin Road Imambargah in Liaquatabad and culminating at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar, after passing through various routes in the city. The traffic police have mapped out the procession routes in detail to minimize disruptions and ensure public safety.
