Is The Metro Bus Open Today From Rawalpindi to Islamabad?

Metro Bus Service connecting Rawalpindi and Islamabad has announced a temporary halt in its operations today as well. The decision comes in the wake of the ongoing Save Gaza Camp at D Chowk, Islamabad.

The metro bus service, as per official sources, will now operate in a restricted manner, only between Sadar Rawalpindi and Faiz Ahmed Faiz station. The usual route extending from Faiz Ahmed Faiz station to the Secretariat will not be serviced.

The administration’s request has led to this interruption in the metro bus service. While this decision supports the peaceful demonstration at D Chowk, it has also resulted in significant inconvenience for the regular commuters.

The Save Gaza Camp, a protest in solidarity with Palestine, has been set up at D Chowk, Islamabad. This protest was the primary reason for the Metro Bus Service suspension on Tuesday as well.
