Islamabad Traffic Police have finalized a comprehensive traffic plan for the upcoming Urs celebrations of Imam Bari Sarkar, scheduled from August 15 to 17, 2024. The plan includes significant traffic diversions and restrictions to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of visitors.

During the three-day event, key roads leading to the Bari Imam shrine will closed to heavy vehicles. Visitors strongly advised to follow the designated routes and avoid restricted areas to minimize inconvenience.

Alternate Routes and Parking Facilities

To facilitate visitors, special parking areas have been established, with shuttle services available to transport people directly to the shrine.

  • Parking for Kashmir Highway Traffic: Visitors arriving via Kashmir Highway instructed to park their vehicles in the first designated parking lot, where shuttle services will be provided to the shrine.
  • Parking for Murree Road Traffic: Those traveling on Murree Road will directed to the second parking lot near Radio Pakistan Chowk.

Traffic Management and Public Assistance

The Islamabad Traffic Police will be actively managing traffic and assisting the public throughout the event. Authorities urge visitors on bikes and cars to park only in the designated areas to avoid any disruptions.
