Islamabad Weather Update Today: Dry Conditions Prevail with Potential Rain

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry weather conditions for most parts of the country, including the federal capital, Islamabad, over the next twelve hours.

Rain on the Horizon

However, Islamabad residents may have to keep their umbrellas at the ready as the Met Office reports the possibility of light to moderate rain during the evening or night.

Temperature and Weather Stats

As of noon, the mercury in Islamabad hovers around 32°C, with humidity levels at approximately 70 percent. Light winds at 4km/h provide some relief from the heat. The maximum UV Index reached 5, which is considered moderate, with visibility extending to around 6 kilometers.

Air Quality Concerns

The air quality in the federal capital is a cause for concern, as it’s recorded at 74, categorizing it as “poor” for human health. It is advisable to minimize outdoor activities if you are experiencing symptoms such as difficulty breathing or throat irritation.

Synoptic Situation

The prevailing weather pattern in most regions is continental air. However, a westerly wave is anticipated to enter the upper parts of the country during the evening or night of the 13th.

While dry weather is expected in most areas, regions like upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir may experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms during the evening and night.

Stay tuned for further updates and take necessary precautions based on the weather conditions in your area.
