Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi demanding lower electricity prices, has entered its sixth day. Today, the second round of negotiations between Jamaat-e-Islami and the government is set for 3 PM.
During the sit-in, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman highlighted that paying the electricity bill has become nearly impossible for 98% of people. He questioned whether the public should prioritize paying the electricity bill or sending their children to school. Hafiz Naeem announced that a sit-in will start in Karachi today, with another planned for Lahore soon.

He also mentioned that the business community is supporting their cause, and they are considering a nationwide strike in collaboration with them.
