In a decisive move following the deadline issued to caretaker Chief Minister Maqbool Baqir on January 30, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has revealed the party’s strategy to address the controversial results of the BIEK first year examination results.
After careful consideration, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman declared that in just two days, a comprehensive plan will be set in motion. Together with affected students and their concerned parents, a determined march is scheduled towards the Chief Minister’s House, culminating in a peaceful dharna.
Addressing the media at the Noor Haq institution, he highlighted the party’s commitment to justice by submitting a detailed letter to the Chief Minister of Sindh. The document encapsulates all pertinent facts and records about the academic history of the affected students.
In a strategic move following the press conference, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman emphasized the increasing popularity of Jamaat-e-Islami in Karachi, as reflected in public polls. He asserted that the party is poised to secure a significant majority, overshadowing the diminishing appeal of MQM and PPP.
However, cautioning against any forced imposition of opposing parties, he stated that such actions would not be deemed patriotic but anti-nationalistic. Advocating for the support of justice, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman insisted that the perpetrators of theft and violence must be held accountable.
The concerns surrounding the city’s law and order situation, coupled with the Election Commission’s silence on the blatant display of weapons, prompted the party to communicate with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja. A letter addressing the alarming incidents has been dispatched, urging immediate attention to uphold a fair electoral process.
