There is good news for Pakistanis as South Korea accepted over 15,000 job applications from Pakistan.
For jobs in South Korea, 15,750 Pakistani applicants are selected. However, applications are accepted for candidates who are looking for job opportunities in the manufacturing sector under EMS or Employment Permit System agreement.
An official from OEC or Overseas Employment Corporation revealed that around 109,317 candidates filed online applications. However, 15,750 Pakistani citizens were selected through the balloting process.
According to sources, it is the largest number of the shortlisted candidates since 2008 and credit goes to Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and South Korean Ambassador.
The South Korean embassy will conduct a written test for final selection of the candidates. Before appearing for the final test, the candidates will be taught Korean language during a training course to be organised by the corporation.
On the other side, if the 1,000 workers could manage to pass the Korean language test, quota for jobs in South Korea will be automatically increased by 20% as per the EMS.
