An explosion near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport shook the city today, leaving ten people injured, including a police constable, and causing chaos in the area. Those injured in the blast have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment. Among the injured are Constable Waqar, along with Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Naeem, and Umar Tariq. Other victims include Rano Khan, Azeem, Tasleem, Ali, Hamza, and Sabih. The injured were quickly rushed to the hospital, and the condition of some is still critical.
The explosion near the airport’s signal area also caused the tragic deaths of three foreigners, according to the latest reports. Eyewitnesses say the blast was so powerful that it ignited two cars and two motorcycles, with the sound heard even in distant areas like Defense, Qayyumabad, and Jamshed Road. Rescue teams, police, and Rangers quickly responded, and the Fire Brigade controlled the flames.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the explosion, but initial findings suggest an oil tanker may have triggered it. SSP Malir confirmed that three to four vehicles caught fire near the scene. The chaos caused by the blast is immense, but airport sources confirmed that all facilities inside the airport remain secure.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and demanded a full report from the Karachi Police Chief. He has also directed that the injured receive top-notch medical treatment and that all necessary steps be taken to open the roads to the airport. The CM emphasized that a thorough investigation should be conducted to uncover the truth behind the explosion.
