Karachi CNG Crisis: Public transport strike continues for 6th day


Public transport is still disappeared from the streets as Karachi CNG crisis does not resolve yet.

The Karachi CNG Crisis resulted in the public transport strike that is now entered 6th day. However, the daily routine of disturbed due to that prevailing matter.

There are just few buses present on roads that are fully loaded with passengers. However, people are using bikes, taxis, and rickshaws for transportation. On the other side, the gas supply is also disrupted in different industrial and residential areas in the city.

On Tuesday, Sui Southern Gas Company or SSGC announced to stop the gas supply to captive power plants and CNG stations. They revealed that they were took the step due to the low pressure and shortage of gas.

Earlier, Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, also dissolved the board of directors of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). In addition, he also ordered the strict action against the gas suppliers.
