The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced on Monday that Sindh is set to experience an intense cold wave, with its inhabitants feeling the chill due to the rain-induced cold climate.
The Met Office predicts that the temperature in the province will drop by 10 degrees in the next few days, a significant deviation from the typical March weather.
Karachi, in particular, continues to experience this severe cold weather, especially after the city was hit by a rainstorm last Friday.
The PMD noted that the average temperature for March in Karachi is usually around 19.4°C. However, the city recorded a temperature of 11.1°C today, which is 8.3°C below the usual March weather.
The Met Office cautioned that predicting rainfall in Karachi at this time would be premature given the current weather system.
However, the weather forecast department anticipates a rise in temperatures, with the mercury expected to hit 30°C starting from this Friday.
