Karachi rain updates show strict measures from law enforcement as the city faces heavy rainfall and urban flooding. Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Javed Alam Odho has announced that vehicles of citizens moving without necessity will be stopped, fined, and may also be taken into custody.
During his visit to flood-affected areas, the AIG Karachi appreciated the role of police officers assisting citizens. He urged people to avoid unnecessary movement during the Karachi rain and cooperate with traffic police for their safety.
Odho clarified that citizens found using closed roads or diverted routes without necessity will face fines or detention. He stressed that Karachi Police are on duty for public safety but citizens must also avoid leaving homes unnecessarily.
Karachi Rain Updates: Flood Situation in Suburban Areas
Continuous rainfall for the last two days has caused flooding in Karachi’s suburban localities. Several Karachi roads are submerged, and hundreds of people have been shifted to safer areas. The situation has raised concerns for daily commuters and residents.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Sindh and Mayor Karachi appealed to citizens not to travel unnecessarily during the Karachi rainfall. However, for the first time, Karachi Police have issued a warning that violators may face detention.
Authorities have repeated that safety of lives and property remains the first priority. Citizens are advised to stay updated with Karachi rain updates, follow police instructions, and avoid using flooded or diverted routes.
