KARACHI: The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to reach 43 Celsius on the third day of Ramadan, today.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted maximum temperature of 43 Celsius today. The lack of sea breeze has caused unusually high temperature. The Met department says that lack of sea breeze might take the temperature to more than 40 Celsius for the next 4-5 days.
The city gets hit by another round of heatwave, that too while people are maintaining fasts for Ramadan. The forecast also suggested the city might cool down after the sunset when the sea breeze starts to blow.
The people of the metropolitan hub have been advised to stay indoors to maintain their fasts. If in case one needs to head outside stay under shade but try to not go outside before evening.
On the other hand Karachi’s citizens are being given the gift of load shedding and water shortage. Protests are being staged in different areas of the city due to the power outage and scarcity of water.
