Karachi residents of District Central and District West will face a gas supply suspension on Sunday. This outage aims to improve gas pressure by integrating a new 24-inch, 31-kilometer-long transmission pipeline into the existing system. The Sui Southern Gas Company spokesperson announced that the gas supply will be cut off from 5 AM on Sunday until 5 AM on Monday, July 29.
SSGC Gas Suspension Areas
During these 24 hours, several areas will be affected. Surjani Town, North Karachi sectors, and Manghopir Town will not have gas. Additionally, Qasba Town, Orangi Town, and all blocks of North Nazimabad will experience a gas cut-off. The suspension will also impact FB Area, including Gulberg blocks, Buffer Zone, SITE Industrial Area, Baldia Town, Ittehad Town, and Maripur. Furthermore, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Ahsanabad, Jhando Goth, SITE Super Highway, and nearby areas will face gas suspension.
Residents in these affected areas are advised to arrange alternative fuel sources to manage during the gas supply interruption. The Sui Southern Gas Company is undertaking this project to enhance the overall gas supply system and ensure better gas pressure for all consumers in the long run.
