Karachi to get its fourth monsoon rain spell�from today

Karachi will witness another rain spell of heavy rain today (Wednesday) till 14 August. Several areas are witnessing heavy rain in Karachi under the fourth monsoon spell. As per the officials of PMD (Pakistan Meteorological Department), Karachi weather will remain misty and heavy rain is expected at night.  

Further, urban flooding is also expected from August 11 to 13. The forecast includes cities like Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Mirpurkhas.

Karachi will likely receive 100mm to 150mm of rain for the next four to five days. Moreover, PMD said, the monsoon currents coming from the Bay of Bengal are perforating in Central and southern parts will become stronger from tonight. A thunderstorm is expected in the northeast/south Balochistan, Sindh, northeast/south Punjab, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today. The Met confirmed that heavy rains will fall in isolated regions in lower Sindh and South Baluchistan.
