In honor of International Women’s Day, a rally is being organized to advocate for women’s rights and equality. The “Hardworking Women Rally” will take place on Friday, March 8th, starting at the Karachi Press Club (Fawara) Chowk and concluding at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.
The rally aims to bring attention to the challenges faced by women and transgender individuals in Pakistan, including discriminatory laws, social and economic violence, and class disparities.
Rally Demands:
- Abolition of all discriminatory laws against women and transgender individuals.
- An end to class and economic violence.
Prominent speakers from various backgrounds, including human rights activists, social workers, laborers, farmers, and transgender leaders such as Zahra Khan and Habibuddin Junaidi, are expected to address the gathering at the Arts Council.
