A traffic plan has been announced for Muharram processions on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram in Karachi. The main procession will start from Nishtar Park and end at Husainia Iranian Kharadar.
Traffic police have stated that traffic will be restricted from Guru Mandir Chowk onto the procession route. MA Jinnah Road will be closed to regular traffic during the processions.
Special permit vehicles will be allowed on MA Jinnah Road.
Traffic police indicated that MA Jinnah Road will be closed from Guru Mandir to Tower. Traffic from Nazimabad will be diverted to Nishtar Road and Garden via Lasbela Chowk, while traffic from Liaquatabad will be redirected to Lasbela Chowk from Teen Hatti.
Drivers are urged to plan their routes accordingly to avoid inconvenience. This traffic plan is crucial to ensure the smooth flow of processions and the safety of participants and the general public.
