Karachi Traffic Update: Roads Blocked Today, Reason and Alternate Routes Update!

Karachi Traffic Police has announced a traffic diversion plan as several main roads will remain blocked today due to the JUI-F rally near MR Kayani Chowk and Arts Council, while preparations for the Karachi Children Gaza March are also affecting traffic flow in the city.

Why are Roads Blocked Today in Karachi?

According to officials, the JUI-F rally will cause the closure of the road from Shaheen Complex to Fawwara Chowk. Traffic police confirmed that vehicles from Ziauddin Signal will be diverted towards Club Chowk Shahrah-e-Faisal, while those heading from Shaheen Complex to Press Club will be diverted to PIDC and Shahrah-e-Faisal.

Similarly, traffic coming from PIDC will be directed towards Avari, while vehicles from Rex Centre moving towards Fawwara Chowk will be sent towards Avari or Clifton. Traffic from Chhatri Chowk towards MR Kayani will be diverted to SM Law College, and traffic from Ahl-e-Hadith Chowk towards MR Kayani will be diverted to Shahrah-e-Liaquat.

Karachi Road Block Today: Children Gaza March arrangements

Alongside the rally, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi has finalized arrangements for the September 18 “Karachi Children Gaza March” on Shahrah-e-Quaideen. The party leadership confirmed that more than 1,000 schools have assured participation.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, will address the march. The organizers said the event is aimed at expressing solidarity with Palestinians. They urged Muslim countries including Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Qatar to unite and take practical steps against Israel.

Traffic update Karachi and civic issues

Karachi road users are advised to follow the traffic police plan to avoid congestion. With multiple diversions and closures in place, commuters are expected to face delays.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Muneem Zafar Khan criticized the provincial government and Karachi’s administration for failing to address civic issues. He pointed out sewage overflow on University Road for three days, a broken water pipeline, and disruptions in local businesses due to road conditions.
