Karachi, the city of lights, is about to experience a water supply suspension as the Water Corporation announced a temporary suspension starting Monday. The disruption is due to some essential repair work that needs to be done to improve the city’s aging water system.
According to a spokesperson from the Water Corporation, they will be installing a new valve in a major 66-inch pipeline near Jail Chowrangi. This pipeline is part of the Old City trunk main and needs urgent maintenance to ensure smoother water flow in the future. Because of this repair work, the city will face a daily shortage of approximately 200 million gallons of water, and the water cuts expected to last for the next three days.
