The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast indicating that Karachi will experience hot and humid weather throughout the three days of Eid ul Adha. According to the PMD’s Early Warning Center, temperatures in Karachi are expected to hover between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels reaching between 50 to 60%.
Karachiites can expect westerly sea breezes to provide some relief during the morning and afternoon, but overall, the city will remain warm. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours to prevent heat-related illnesses.
While Karachi grapples with high temperatures, the rest of Sindh will also face scorching conditions. Areas in the Tharparkar district could see thunderstorms, ranging from isolated to widespread. These thunderstorms might bring some respite from the intense heat in those areas.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz shared that Karachi’s weather would stay partly cloudy and windy over the next ten days. However, he cautioned that upper and central Sindh could experience a heatwave starting next week, which may pose health risks for the residents.
