Karachi weather continues to remain in the spotlight as a severe heatwave intensifies across the city. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi weather today is not just hot—it’s dangerously intense, with the temperature currently at 38°C but the real-feel or “feels like” temperature hitting a staggering 50°C.
As the heatwave in Karachi strengthens, residents are facing extreme discomfort despite strong winds blowing through the city. The Meteorological Department reported that hot winds from the west are moving at a speed of 24 km/h, offering minimal relief from the sweltering heat.
Humidity levels in Karachi have also surged, with the current moisture in the air recorded at 52%. Experts say this high humidity is contributing significantly to the intense “feels like” temperature, making the heat much more unbearable.
The lowest temperature recorded in Karachi during the past 24 hours was 30°C, which is still relatively high for night-time or early morning hours, showing no signs of major cooling.
This heatwave Karachi is experiencing is expected to persist over the next 24 hours, prompting health experts to urge people to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak hours, and take all necessary precautions to avoid heatstroke.
