Karachi weather continues to remain hot and dry on Friday, with the temperature in Karachi likely to range between 37°C and 39°C. However, the perceived temperature in Karachi may rise significantly, ranging between 43°C and 49°C due to persistent heat and lack of sea breeze, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD has forecast that most parts of Sindh, including Karachi, will remain extremely hot and dry throughout the day. The disruption in sea breeze over Karachi and coastal areas is expected to continue for several more days, contributing to higher heat levels.
Weather analysts attributed the disruption to a combination of wind circulation over India’s Gujarat region and the influence of a western weather system. These conditions are contributing to a rise in Karachi temperature and overall heat intensity across southern parts of Sindh.
The Met Office further stated that a pre-monsoon system may begin to affect eastern Sindh from Saturday evening, but it is unlikely to bring any immediate relief to Karachi’s weather conditions.
Residents are advised to take precautionary measures as the heatwave conditions continue. The absence of sea breeze combined with dry continental winds may keep the weather of Karachi unstable in the coming days.
The PMD will continue to monitor changing temperature Karachi trends, especially with the expected development of pre-monsoon conditions in the region.
