In a welcome respite, several parts of Karachi experienced light to moderate rainfall early Monday morning, bringing a refreshing change to the city’s weather conditions. According to weather analyst Jawad Memon, areas such as North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Gulistan-e-Johar, Liaqatabad, and FB Area were among those blessed with the precipitation.
The central regions of the provincial capital, including Scheme 33, witnessed a brief but intense spell of heavy rain, enhancing the overall coolness in the atmosphere. The drop in temperature is anticipated to provide relief to the residents of Karachi.
Attributing the rain to low-level cloud formation influenced by the “western turf,” the weatherman highlighted that drizzle and light rain covered the northern and central parts of the city.
The Meteorological Department issued a forecast for the northern Sindh province, indicating that cold weather is expected to prevail in most districts. Additionally, there is a likelihood of fog in Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, and the surrounding areas. The plains of Sukkur division are anticipated to be under heavy fog for the next couple of days, prompting citizens to exercise caution.
As Karachi experiences this refreshing change in weather, residents are advised to stay updated on further developments and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to fog. The city’s temperature is expected to remain cooler, providing a pleasant break from the usual climate. Stay tuned for more updates on Karachi’s weather conditions.
